We had a case here in New Zealand 14 years ago about a girl who died from D as her parents were involved in a church that didn't really believe in using medicenes. THe priest had said to the parents do you want 'god' to heal her and they said yes of course. he then told them to believe in god and stop giving their daughter insulin. So they asdked the daughter if she wanted to be healed, big surprise she said of course. They were told they had to have 'faith' and stopped the insulin. She died three days later. Sad thing was the mother broke in the end and took her to the hospital but it was far to late for anything to be done. The father had wanted to take her earlier but neither did as they thought the other one would think they were weak. It ws in the news for ages. I remember this as she was the same age as me at the time. Really sad.
