no, no, that's not at all what i meant to imply. i didn't even have you in mind when i wrote the post; was simply drawing from my own feelings of hopelessness when my diabetes was once (i thought) hopelessly out of control. my a1c averaged 11-14 for NINE YEARS! i couldn't get it down until i went on lantus in 2001, and finally got it to an "acceptable" level when i started pumping four months later. before that, i was horribly depressed because even though i tried and tried, my sugars just spiraled all over the place (usually upward). that was what i was thinking of when i was thinking of hopelessness, because that sure did describe my situation. sorry if that bothered you.
