No you don't need a letter from your doctor, particularly for a domestic flight. You also probably don't need to carry 6 syringes with you - wouldn't 1 have sufficed??!

Your NDSS card, DAV membership, MedicAlert membership card, attachment to a pump, etc etc are all sufficient evidence of your type 1 diabetes.

Unless the security screening process picks them up and then questions you, there is no need for you to disclose any of these details of the equipment you are carrying at all!

Diabetics travel everyday remember! And they require syringes, needles, finger pricks, pumps, insulin and associated equipment with them at all times. No need to disclose.
