Diabetes equipment & goods aren't considered dangerous items, unless you were worried about disclosing your steak knife set (or similar..!). I don't think I've ever disclosed my d-stuff when asked about that large ticking noise coming from my carry-on!
I did admit once to carrying WD40, and they made me open up the bike box and dig it out, while the other passengers were growling for delaying them..
Luckily, WD40 is available in 160 countries.
