Yoga is a sanskrit word for union
or balance. Yoga is basically about achieving a balance between the
physical, emotional and spiritual parts of your life. The benefits of yoga are
numerous and include increased vitality, flexibility, improved immune system,
muscle and bone strength, and relaxation. There is even a specific
posture for the pancreas. It might be too late for us to benefit from
stimulating the pancreas, but yoga can really help in Diabetes management with
its integrated approach to physical and mental well being.
The following
websites might be interesting to read for background information, however, to
get all the benefits of yoga it is better to take a class and have a qualified
teacher take you through the steps. A contact to find out where yoga
classes are held is The Australian Yoga Teachers Network ph 03 9592 2949
(they don't have a web page). Also contact the Gita International Yoga
School on 03 9416 3272. www.earthmed.com A website dedicated to

in amongst some serious advertising which gives the site a hectic look.
