Hi, I love your website, it has helped me a lot since my boyfriend was diagnosed with diabetes.  However after saying this I was extremely insulted by the article written about punching non-diabetics. I am sure that many people are extremely ignorant but a lot of people are innocently trying to help. You're right that they say the wrong things but have you considered that they are only trying to help?

Sometimes I don't know what to say and I am positive that sometimes I might not say the right thing, but my boyfriend actually tells me it's not easy so I'm not under that misconception. 

I am sorry that you have run into so many ignorant people and I in no way condone their Ignorance. Instead of getting so mad that you could punch someone, why not educate them. After all, they have nowhere near the knowledge you have learnt since your diagnosis.
